HBO's "Real Sex"

Since I don't have HBO, I catch it when I can at the boyfriend's place and I happened to catch the newest episode of "Real Sex". It's about time! It feels like new episodes are few and far between.

This newest episode is titled "Stocks Down, Sex Up" and it's based on how with the economy being down, folks are coming up with more creative ways to make money. Phone sex operators... more styles of porn. Can I just say, if you happen to catch it, do you think the woman that runs her own phone sex company is kind of a hottie? 'Cos I do. ;-)

They also showed a craft session at Babeland where they were making their own sex toys. Yay! Crafty can be so good! Just don't hurt yourself!

What would you do if you lost your job? If your work hours were cut back?

Did you know that by being a consultant with "For Your Pleasure", you could work an average of 20 hours (including parties and paperwork) and make full-time pay?

Look at the numbers:
  • when you start out, you're making 40% commission. Our parties average $500 a show and that means you make $200 a show. Parties can run anywhere from 2-4 hours.
  • Do one party a week. 4 parties a month x $200 per party avg. = $800 in commission. Plus, you've hit bonus, so you'll get an additional $100, which means you've made $900 in that month.
  • If you did 3 parties a week, you've worked maybe 12-15 hours. You've made about $600 in commission for that week alone.
  • Let's say that you went out and found a 40hr/wk job that paid you $8.50/hr. In that 40-hour workweek, you've grossed $340. Now take out taxes. How much did you make?
  • As an FYP consultant, you're a business owner, which means you have tax deductions.
What sounds better? $340 minus taxes working at a full-time job that you might not be happy at OR earning $600 or more when your "work" is spent making new connections and talking romance and toys?

Which works better for you? Working 40 hours a week OR working 12-15 hours a week?

Which option will give you more FREEDOM so you can spend more time with your family and doing what YOU want?

Polar Bear Plunge!

On Dec. 5th, 2009... 17 members of the State College Young Professionals (calling ourselves "SCYPcicles") participated in the Annual Polar Bear Plunge to benefit the Bellefonte YMCA's Kids Program. We were among a record number 137 plungers and our group raised $2,000! The air was 31 degrees and of course it was snowing... the water was a refreshing 37 degrees.

I raised $400 in donations. THANK YOU to all of my donors!!

I'm excited for next year's Plunge!! Bring it on!
