Where else have I been?

So after Seattle Round #1, I headed to Portland for a few days.  There was staff product knowledge training to do at Fantasy For Adults Only since they'd picked up our line and we want to provide the staff with as much support as possible. I must say, they have a pretty great staff.  Everyone seems to be so bright and friendly.  I was impressed when I walked into one location to find an entirely all-male staff working the store.

I even swung by SheBop to visit her gorgeous boutique and show her some of the newest stuff.

I really appreciate that various stores want our support and training and for them, we are more than happy to provide it.

The following is some of what I got into.  Let me just say that I did try to eat my way thru that city.  I needed more time to explore, so I'll be back again.

Safer sex in within reach

I'd spotted the LoveBuckle on the OhMiBod site will before I started with OhMiBod and I thought it was such a brilliant idea.  The buckle holds a ONE condom so that there's no excuse and you get to display one of the condoms right out in the open.

The ONE condoms are those condoms with the fun designs on their circular wrappers.  I even remember a contest ONE had run a while back looking for artists who wanted to try to get their work onto their condoms.



Of course I had to get my own -- one black and one pink. ;-)

NYC

I was in NYC this week for a few meetings and store visits. Let me just say... I totally forgot how NYC time is completely different from "real time". I didn't get to do half of what I wanted to do because I was too busy running from meeting to meeting and getting lost on the subway trying to get around Brooklyn and all that jazz.

But, I saw some great stores and met great people.

Magnetic

Since I've been making product videos for OhMiBod and Bedroom Kandi, and my hands are in the videos, I figured I might as well have some fun and play with some nail polish.

I don't know why I didn't hear about the magnetic polish sooner, but as soon as I'd heard that my local Hot Topic was carrying some, I had to give it a whirl.

How does it work? There's iron powder in the polish. You put on a coat and let it dry. Then put on a thicker second coat, grab the overcap that has the built-in magnet, and hover it closely over the nail for about 5 seconds so that the magnet can pull the iron powder into position.

Pretty cool. Check out my super-fast first attempt.

Some Philly

I was in Philly this past weekend because The Mood on South Street asked me to make an appearance at their "Storegasm" event. And being PA-based, I want to support my PA stores as much as I can. So to support the event, I arrived with early with my demo pieces, ready to train the staff that was there (and they were quite on point with their OhMiBod knowledge) and armed with a couple giveaways for their prize wheels.  Yep, a couple lucky people walked away with their own Club Vibes.

The Mood is a store I remember going into yeeeeaaars ago and it's changed so much since the last time I was there.  And the change was for the better for sure!

I spent a couple nights in New Jersey so that I could pay a visit to another Philly store on my drive home, and I'm glad that I did.  I stopped by Northern Liberties Walk to visit The Velvet Lily on North 2nd St and it's such a great boutique.

Ya know, it's always interesting to see the differences between the stores I've been visiting.  They all have their own styles and they've all been great.

Another cool thing... BOTH stores have been selling our Club Vibe 2.OH like crazy!  I can't wait to get them stocked up with them again!

Aaaaand for my PA ladies who've been wanting to get their hands on some Bedroom Kandi products, BOTH stores will be carrying the line! Yay!

I'd like to thank both stores for being receptive to me when I've offered my sales support.  I want all of the stores that carry our products to do well and I'll only reach out so many times to stores because I'm not going to force it on someone.

Then again, I don't know who wouldn't want sales support to help sell the products better...

I appreciate and support the stores who want our support.

My Florida trip...

I did some traveling the week before last... to Florida. For work.

What was my schedule like?
Monday - fly into Orlando, train at the Orlando store
Tuesday - train at the Cape Canaveral store
Wednesday - fly to Fort Lauderdale, train at a Ft. Lauderdale store, visit a store in Miami, drive the longest 150 miles ever to Key West (I have some stern words for the folks at Volkswagen)
Thursday - train at the Key West store
Saturday - drive back to Fort Lauderdale, enjoy my first Heavenly Bed.
Sunday - fly home.

It was great meeting the awesome sales staff at each store I visited and it was great hearing that they were excited to have me out for the trainings. The staff I met at the Fairvilla and Hustler Hollywood stores are all so knowledgeable and I know that OhMiBod and Bedroom Kandi are in good hands.

I was exhausted by the time I got home, but I love what I've been able to do!  (and I may have gotten a massage after I got home)
