Have you seen the "Freestyle:W" from OhMiBod?

A dual-stim vibe that also vibrates to the beat and intensity of the music on your mp3 player/stereo? Yes, please!

I was working on a little something

This past week, on top of having a nasty cough from jumping into 37 degree water, I was working on some videos for work... And this was one of the products.  Can you guess which it is?

2011 Polar Bear Plunge!

Pre-Plunge with my "suit" on. I love tearaway pants.
So THIS is what I got myself into on Saturday morning.  The temperature in the air was in the high 40's, with water at 37 degrees -- a whole one degree warmer than last year's plunge.

I was among 151 plungers who took a stroll into the frigid water as part of the fundraiser for the YMCA of Centre County.  The things we do for charity. :-p

The State College Young Professionals (who I plunged with) won the award for the most money raised by a group/organization for the second year in a row with $5,132!  Yay!  Almost $2,000 more in donations than last year! Woo hoo!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored me with donations! Thank you to OhMiBod for being awesome and sponsoring me! So of course I gave them a body part for the donation.

In total, $40,500 was raised this year!  I'm excited for next year!

Post-Plunge. Cold, wet, and still smiling.
And hopefully I'll be healthier for next year's Plunge.  I think I may have angered my cold cuz I feel like ass as I write this post.  Ugh.  It was for a good cause....

Getting caught up

I've finished up three weeks with the new job and I'm currently getting reacquainted with my couch and comfy blanket. Yes, right now.

I'm going to try NOT to do any work-related stuff this weekend. TRY. I've already made mental notes of who I want to touch base with this upcoming week. Sheesh.

And since I've been spending so much time in front of my computer for work, I am now avoiding it like crazy. This is the first Saturday in a long time that my laptop has stayed upstairs in my office instead of sitting on my lap while I'm on the couch.

It's taken some getting used to getting up early in the morning. *gasp!* The horror! :-p But I'm impressed by how much I can get done by lunch.

Oh, and lunch... I haven't had time to properly feed myself.

The life working at a sex toy company isn't always "product research".

My typical day:
7:45am: Alarm goes off. I hit snooze.
7:54am: Alarm goes off again. I hit snooze. Again. And again.
8:21am: Alarm goes off. I grumble and groan and drag my ass out bed and hit the bathroom.
8:23am: Start brushing my teeth and sit down to check e-mail really quick.
8:35am: Still checking e-mail. Realize I've been sitting at my computer half-naked for this long with my toothbrush in my mouth. Go spit.
8:35am: Get dressed in gym gear and hit the gym.
8:45am: On the elliptical checking e-mails, Twitter, and Facebook.
9:30am: Home in front of computer cranking out orders and e-mails and everything else I need to do for the day.
Lots of e-mails and calls back and forth asking questions so I don't screw something up. I know I'm still learning but I hate making mistakes.
Loads of wondering why places wouldn't carry OhMiBod products and how to get them to.
3:30/4pm: I realize I haven't eaten lunch. What's in my freezer or what pasta do I have?
4:15pm-6:30/7pm-ish: Eat at my desk while working. Hoping my brain isn't mush and that I haven't screwed something up. Remove myself from my desk and bring my laptop downstairs to do some work in front of the t.v. Oh, and I guess I should shower.

Bedtime is now earlier than 4am like it was before. But it feels good.

I have a "grown up" job. Ha!

So this is the newest release from OhMiBod -- the "Club Vibe 2.OH".  I've been waiting for this baby to come out for what seems like ages!

You may have read a post about how much I like my Club Vibe, well this one is an amped up version -- wireless and more fitted for a woman's curves.  And rechargeable via USB.  And this one also comes with a cute pair of panties, thank goodness!

I just charged mine up finally and I'm excited to see how it works out.  And of course I'll write about it. ;-)

You can get your own directly thru OhMiBod's website by clicking here.

Day #1 at HQ

I was at OhMiBod HQ last week.
So I started my new job last week.

I'd been keeping it *hush, hush* until I was officially resigned from "For Your Pleasure" and now I can make it public.

THIS is who I'm working with! Yay!

It's a whole new world for me... okay, not totally new since it's still in the sex toy industry and it's with one of my favorite brands.  Different cuz it's a different segment of the industry so there's lots to learn but I'm super-stoked to be doing it.

:I'm thinking about writing about what happens to me as I get adjusted and move forward within my job.  What do you think?

Word to the wise

When you attend a home party and place an order, don't go canceling your order right after, because:

A) it's annoying
B) I now have to call my hostess and tell her that one of her friends cancelled their order and now the free spending she earned from hosting the party has been cut down, so she loses some of the stuff she was excited about getting
C) it's disappointing
D) you've made more work for the consultant. I don't like making that call to my hostess
E) it's rude. If you were going to "change your mind" and cancel, just don't place the order to begin with. I'd rather my hostess be less that order than be let down by you when you cancel

Just a thought...

AVN AEE/ANE

I'm getting more and more excited about the upcoming AVN Adult Entertainment Expo/Adult Novelty Expo (AEE/ANE)!

This time everything is being held at the Hard Rock, so no having to try to get to the Palms for the Awards if I want to go.

I can't wait to see what else is new in the world of pleasure products since I didn't go to ILS this week and I can't go to Venus in Berlin.  It doesn't make sense for me to go to those just to scope out products, ya know?  If I'm more involved within the industry, then it would make sense.  So for now, it's the AEE/ANE in January and ANE in the summer.

Either way, I'm super-excited!

The Newest Pieces from LELO

Thursday marked the official launch of LELO's newest couples' additions to their Insignia Line -- Lyla, Oden, and Tiani.  And they feature what LELO calls "SenseMotion" technology.

So what's "SenseMotion"?  Think of it like... a Wii-like sex toy.  Yep.  That's what I said.  And it's about time.  These pieces work with a wireless remote control that can be used from up to 39 feet away (why 39 feet?).  But wireless remote-controlled sex toys isn't anything new, right?  Okay, well here's what the SenseMotion is all about... The partner holding the remote not only has control over the 6 vibrational settings for the toy, but with a movement of the wrist, they can also control the vibration intensity of it -- SenseMotion.

Like I said... it's a Wii-like sex toy.  Aaaand... the remote control unit will feel the same vibrations that the toy is feeling so that the partner with the remote can experience what the other partner is experiencing.  I think that's going to help give the partner with the remote an edge because if they want to, they can get their lover close to the edge and pull them back from it... teasing all from up to 39 feet away.  Heh, heh...

So the pieces... Introducing...
 Lyla.  The egg-shaped toy.

Tiani.  The couples' toy that is worn by the woman by inserting the silicone arm into the vagina and placing the vibrating pleasure point over the clitoral area so that it may be worn during intercourse

.Oden.  The vibrating c-ring worn by the man.

The SenseMotion Insignia pieces are silicone, waterproof, and rechargeable as well.

Want more information about these newest additions? Click here for LELO's news release about them.

I'd Love Some New HBO "Real Sex"

How many of you have caught yourself watching "Real Sex" on HBO late at night?  I know that I have!  And sometimes I just pull it up on On Demand.

I keep hoping for more new episodes... much to my disappointment. :-(  I can't even tell you when the most recent episode was made.  Was it like 2002 or somewhere around there?

I totally understand that sex is something that really isn't dated, (I just love watching episode #24 with sex educator Lou Paget and her penis-pleasing seminars) but some things could be updated -- think about the technology that has come out when it comes to toys and the kind of porn that's coming out and maybe a new fetish/kink has come out...

Plus, I don't know about you, but I love to keep learning about what's going on in the world of sex and sexuality.  I like to pass the information on to my friends and customers alike cuz I'm just a nerd like that. :-p

I did go to HBO's website and saw that they'll be airing something in October called "The Best Sex: Twelve Years of Real Sex: The Dirty Dozen" but it only looks like the best of the episodes over 12 years.  Yeah, that'll be cool, but I still want more.... I guess I always want more....

HBO, please come out with more episodes!!! KThanks!

Do you agree with me that new episodes are due?

Appreciation

I received an e-mail the other day that put a smile on my face.  It came from one of the ladies who attended a Party I had done.  She wanted to thank me for the great time that she had at her first Party and is excited to host her own.

It may sound mushy, but it gave me warm fuzzies cuz it makes me feel like I may have helped to make a difference in her life but helping to empower her a little more and welcoming her to a new world.

I love that ladies ask me to come into their homes to spend a few hours with her and her favorite ladies to talk about products and different aspects of sexuality.  I take pride in the fact that I along with showing great products, I also educate.  I want my guests to have an "a-ha!" moment while they're at the Parties.

Not every consultant has to educate -- some just show the products and may not even really help the guests envision themselves using the products -- because we run our businesses however we want to.  But I see that a lot of my fellow FYP reps do include education and they want to provide more.  I love it.

Anyway, I just really appreciated that e-mail. :-)

There's a Penis in My InBox!

I'm impressed (maybe perplexed) by the number of penises that have been texted to me in the recent months... Odd...

The Fun Factory "DeLight" will DELIGHT You!

imageFrom Fun Factory USA, I present to you their 2008 “reddot design” Award-winning “DeLight”.  I remember having seen it in their advertising and at their booth at ANE11, but I didn’t actually get my hands on it.  I do, however, remember that it did catch my eye and I was intrigued.   I mean, look at that curve... Raaawr...

**I have to apologize for the delay in getting this whole thing written up cuz I kept getting distracted by the toy itself!  I’d be writing, then get the toy in my hands to remember some points… then turn it back on… then, well… ya know… ;-) **

Fun Factory is a brand that I’ve known for years now because they’re made of 100% medical-grade silicone (phthalate-free) and other materials that are safe for the body (something that’s important to me and my customers) and the German engineering behind their toys haven’t let me down.  Besides, how can you not recognize their quirky and fun designs with names like “Patchy Paul”, right?

So onto the DeLight… What caught my eye was that curve… oooh, that curve.   I’m always on the hunt for great G-spot toys.  A girl can’t have too many in my book.  And, it’s a beautiful toy!

imageThe DeLight is also splash-proof (can get wet to clean or for shower play, but do not immerse) and is what Fun Factory calls a “CLICK ‘N’ CHARGE” toy, which means it’s rechargeable with their universal “FUN Magnetic Plug” that simply clicks onto the toy.  See those two metal dots in the middle of the toy in the photo on the right?  That’s where the plug clicks on.  The photo below on the right shows the FUN Magnetic Plug on the DeLight.  It’s cool because all of their CLICK ‘N CHARGE toys use the same magnetic plug, so you only need to have one on hand.  That keeps your toy drawer, box, or room a little neater.  How many of you have a ton of rechargeable toys and have trouble keeping the chargers sorted?  I know I do, and that’s why I have a labeled zippy bag for each charger to help me out.  And I still can’t seem to find one charger! :-/

Anyway, what comes in the box with the DeLight?
  • The DeLight.  Duhh… (which comes in 6 color combinations; mine is the Blackberry/Black)
  • Multi-language user manual (six languages to be precise); mine came with two for some odd reason. :-p
  • A pamphlet containing photos of all of the products in their line (the product line has grow so much since we carried them)
  • A sample of their Fun Factory “TOYFLUID” water-based lube
I was pleasantly surprised to see that my DeLight had a charge when it arrived, but I took the time to fully charge it for my… ahem… research.  On a full charge, the manual says the user will get about an hour of use if used at its maximum setting.

imageThe DeLight is ergonomically-shaped and so simple to operate.  Simply slide one or two fingers into the curl and operate the 2-button control with your thumb.  (I usually have my index finger in the curl and my middle finger resting on the outside of the curl to help me have better control over ut.)  Simple operation has become a necessity to me.  Really, those buttons are placed in such a great spot on this toy.

To operate: Press the “+” button in for about 2 seconds to turn it on at its lowest rumble, which is nice and low for a good warm up.  The control panel will emit a red glow (see left photo below) when it’s on.   You can either press and hold in the “+” until it goes up to its strongest steady vibration or press it repeatedly so you can see what the intensities are like.

Pressing the “+” will also allow you to get to the more intense vibrations and to the other three different vibrational patterns.  To turn off, hold the “-” button until the toy gets to its lowest vibration, release, and press the “-” again.
image

When it comes to noise level, even at its most intense vibration, the DeLight is a pretty quiet toy — just above a hum to me.  I’d definitely recommend it for someone who has roommates or for my moms out there — anyone who may be concerned about the buzzing sound traveling thru their doors/walls.

The insertable part of the DeLight is 100% medical-grade silicone, so it’s nonporous and easy to keep clean, while the handle is a combination of the silicone and a shiny skin-friendly plastic.

The insertable end has a little flexibility to it, giving the user the ability to work the toy on her G-spot a bit more, using whatever motions she prefers such as rocking or wiggling it back and forth or the “windshield wiper”.  Now, most of my G-Spot toys have no give whatsover, so this was a nice change of pace for me because it made me actually “work” for my orgasm a little more, which can be nice.

With just a little bit of water-based lubricant because it’s a silicone toy (I like Sliquid Oceanics), that tip slides right in and definitely wants to hone in on my G-spot.  And with a little manipulation, my leg twitched as I hit the spot… ;-)

Another DeLight feature is the little bump on the inside of the curve that Fun Factory calls the “clitoral bump”.  I think it’s a great idea, but for me… or shall I say, for my body, it didn’t really work because it didn’t hit my clitoris.  I had more of the area above the bump resting along my clitoris and that worked fine for me when I added more pressure.  So it’s a good thing that the insertable end has some give so the user can manipulate the piece to suit her body more.

DeLight Pros:
  • Rechargeable (better for the environment and no having to steal remote control batteries)
  • Multi-speed, multi-vibrational
  • 100% medical-grade silicone and skin-friendly plastic (body-safe)
  • Quiet
  • Ergonomic
  • Splash-proof (easy to clean)
  • Powerful
  • Easy-to-operate
  • It doesn’t look like a vibrator, so you don’t necessarily have to hide it.
DeLight Cons:
  • “Clitoral Bump” may not work for every body
  • I wish the charge lasted longer
  • I wish it was “waterproof”, rather than splash-proof, so I can use it in the bath along with the shower.
  • It would be nice if the keys had a “lock” feature, but that's a minor detail.

In my book, the DeLight is definitely a must-have for your toybox.  I know it'll definitely be in high rotation for me. ;-)

Now, since we unfortunately don’t carry Fun Factory these days (I wish we did), I’ll send you to where you can get your own DeLight because you should’ve miss out on it.  Eden Fantasys, AVN “O” Award Winner for “Outstanding Online Retailer”, carries the DeLight and they’ll take care of you.  Click here to go straight to the EdenFantasys DeLight page. :-)

I’d totally love to hear what you think of your DeLight when you get your own.

A Little Bit of "MiMi" in My Life.... (and yours)

I've done a little write-up of Je Joue's "MiMi" on my Tumblr here.

YOU can become a company backer (AND get a luxury toy out of it)

Have you heard of a company called "CRAVE" yet?

If you'd been reading stories from the likes of "Wired" during the last few days, chances are you may have read a blurb.

CRAVE has created a new luxury pleasure product that they call "Duet".  Totally waterproof, practically silent, and USB-rechargeable.  Aaaand... depending on which model you'd go with, you could have 8GB or 16GB to store files on your vibe!

I'm also lucky enough to know the two folks behind this product. ;-)

CRAVE decided to go a different route when it comes to launching this product.  They're going thru CKIE, a funding platform similar to Kickstarter, to get the funding to get "Duet" off the ground.  You have the opportunity to back the company by making a donation and in exchange you could receive your own "Duet".

What is pretty incredible to me is that not even halfway thru their first week of fundraising, they reached 100% of their goal!  They've now exceeded the goal and still have over a month of fundraising to go.  Thank goodness because I'm eyeing up the $150 donation so I can get my hands on one of the 100 exclusive early-release 8GB pieces that are part of the special serialized CKIE designer edition.  I'm kind of a sucker for exclusive things sometimes.

And for me to get one of only 100 early-release pleasure products?  I must... have one.  But I also have to wait until after a few parties to have the extra moolah to send in my donation.  I hope there will be one left for me at the rate their fundraising has been going.

You still have the opportunity to make a donation and get your own "Duet".  You can donate until the end of the donation period.  Just click here to learn more about the company and project, and to make your own donation.

Many CONGRATULATIONS to CRAVE for their awesome fundraising skills!

You can follow CRAVE on Twitter: @followcrave

That feeling

Ever try to sleep near someone that you feel a mutual attraction for?

You know how you try to sleep and you just can't cuz they're right within your grasp?

You lay there and wonder if you should make the first move or wait for them to do it?  What if you were imagining the "mutual"?

How long do you wait it out?  What if you fall asleep???

Then you feel them reach out for you.... and that's all it takes.

Bliss...

Toyfriend's "Bubbly" makes me giddy...

You can read my review of "Bubbly" on my Tumblr here.

Have you met LELO's "Siri"?

From LELO, we've added "Siri"!  Petite, super-quiet, powerful, and the same LELO quality you would expect.

Made of ABS plastic and phthalate-free silicone.

Siri is also RECHARGEABLE!  A 2-hour charge charge gets you about 4 hours of use.  She can also sit up to 90 days on standby.

Siri fits right into the palm of your hand.

The user-interface is pretty simple, especially if you're already a LELO owner.  The left/right buttons control the intensity of the vibrations and the up/down allows you to select any of the 6 vibrational modes.

And the keys lock up for travel.  Simply hold the left/right buttons down at the same time until the LED light goes out.  Then place her into the satin pouch she comes with and slip her into your purse or weekend bag.  To unlock, do the same as you did to lock it, but this time until the LED light comes on.

Check out Siri's contoured shape that will fit your body.   And she's small enough for fun couples' play.

Since Siri is silicone, remember to use a water-based lube, which will enhance your pleasure.

Siri comes with the LELO charger, user manual, satin carrying pouch, 1-year full LELO warranty, and 10-year LELO product quality guarantee.

What's the "10-Year Product Quality Guarantee"?  You have the 1-year warranty and then from years 2-10, if the toy malfunctions, you send it back to LELO and they will let you get another one of their products for 50% off.  Make sure you register your product with LELO online when you receive it.  It's simple.

Siri is available in Pink, Purple, and Red.

I was really excited to see that we picked this up.  And now you can have your own

You can order her now thru my online store hereSiri's item number is #18082.  Of course feel free to peruse the rest of the online store...

At the AVN Novelty Expo "O" Awards

Here I am at the AVN Novelty Expo "O" Awards with Frankie from Radio Dentata and Sherrie from AVN.

Franki and I both presented awards.  I presented the award for Outstanding Lingerie or Accessory Brand -- Hustler Lingerie won. :-)

Hmmm... it's starting to rain...

This last weekend was the annual Arts Fest weekend here in lovely State College and for some reason it seemed like something was in the air...

I was getting text messages from a few guys... weird.  I swear it came out of nowhere!

I'm still on my dry spell... and I got texts from a "puppy"... texts from one of my flings from last summer... texts from a wannabe fling... what the heck?

But who do I wanna break that dry spell with?  I'm not quite sure.  Who's "dry spell breaking" worthy? ;-)

I totally disappointed myself by not at least making out with a straight guy while I was at the ANE this year.  So disappointed.  What was I thinking?

Though, I'm going to say that I did actually kiss a boy who likes girls.  Yay me. :-p

A New Innovation

One of the products that stands out to me from this year's AVN Novelty Expo would have to be "Ola" from Minna Life, hailing from San Francisco.  This little pleasure object is an innovative product I haven't seen yet.

That top end you see in the photo is actually "squeeze-responsive" -- the harder you squeeze the silicone bulb, the more intense the vibration.  Yep.  The bulb responds even to a light squeeze.  What makes this even better is that you can also record your favorite vibrational patterns so you can lock the pattern in without worrying about how much you squeeze the bulb.  So basically, you get to make a customized vibrational mode with this product.

Ola is silicone, waterproof, and rechargeable.  Both ends are insertable so the user gets to play around with either the firm end or the softer end.  I can tell you that this toy does have a wonderfully smooth touch to it.  I had trouble letting it go.  In fact, I kept trying to steal it, though doing it right in front of the men behind the company didn't help me get away with it. :-p

Ola is available in the purple you see in the photo and pink.  Ola also isn't available to buy just yet either, but good news is that Babeland will have it exclusively for the month of August with a retail of approximately $165.  After that, it will be available elsewhere.  So you will be able to get your hands on this gorgeous piece in just a few weeks.

I waaaaaant!   Ya know, for research purposes of course.  Anyone wanna send me one?  ;-)

Bling!

On the first day of ANE11, I spotted this piece.  Could really miss it since their booth was right across from the Papaya Toys booth.

Talk about some bling!

This is the "Fairy" from Love Merci North America all blinged out with 9,000 hand-laid Swarovski crystals!  I was Hansen's girlfriend did it.  (that's love for ya)

This piece isn't for sale of course.  Imagine those crystals on your girly bits going 11,000RPM's.  Ouch.  It was just for show.  Totally gorgeous.

I had a chance to check out each of their Fairy versions and they are super-strong.  Even more powerful than the famous Hitachi.  And I dig the slide dial control because it gives the user more control over the intensity of the toy.

Going thru LAX airport security

This is pretty much how one of my carry-ons looked last night when I flew out of LAX and made it thru security without a hitch. It's not like it's not completely obvious what is in my bag, right?

Come on, I was going home from ANE11, how could I not have sex toys in my bags? ;-)

Shellie from Crystal Delight Toys (one of her gorgeous pieces is in that bag, too) was totally right when she said that when you want to be searched, that's when they don't do it. I thought it would be awesome if they did the search this time. Oh well...

Heading home...

On my way to LAX to catch my plane home from ANE... I board at 9:45pm and it's now 8:33pm and I'm still on the highway.

Wonder if I'll get searched at security. I have lots of toys in my carry-on's! ;-) We shall see... And I'll let you know...

Arrival night at ANE 2011

I arrived at LAX around noon yesterday for the AVN Novelty Show, where I got to meet Radio Dentata and Shellie from Crystal Delights Toys for the first time after tweeting back and forth.

After Papaya Pam picked us up and drove thru the insane LA traffic, we were at the Pasadena Sheraton, right next to the Convention Center.

We hit up the exhibition hall where booth set up was happening, grabbed lunch, and back to the booths we went. It's always great to see familiar faces as they come in cuz to me, it's like summer camp. And then to see the booth set-up process that people go thru, it's pretty cool.

Here are some of Crystal Delights Toys' pieces. Aren't they gorgeous?

Our evening ended with just over 3 hours of gift bag assembly for the "O" Awards Post-Party, hosted by Papaya Toys, 300 gift bags looks a little like this...

Just a typical day

I love how a vibrating cock ring (the Rocks-Off "4US") hanging out on my front seat is a normal thing. One of the joys of being me... ;-)

"For Your Pleasure" Annual Convention

I'm sitting in the Philadelphia Airport right now as I write this up. Just a 3 1/2 hour layover on my way back to State College from Vegas. I've just spent the last few days there for the 2011 For Your Pleasure Convention.

Now, even though we are in the business of slinging pleasure products, that's not the only thing our conventions are about. We actually go to network and learn how to better our businesses. Slinging toys is a business after all. And of course, Convention attendees get a sneak preview of the newest products we've added to our collection and that's one of my personal favorite things.

This year, I was asked to assist in the new product showroom to help answer any questions the other consultants may have about them. I'm the nerdy consultant who likes to do research on products. I had to think quick on my feet because I didn't know what we picked up until I arrived in Vegas and saw the supplement. It did help that I'd already known about a lot of what was in the room.

And boy, oh boy, is there some fabulous stuff! I'll get to that in a bit. ;-)

I arrived in Vegas Friday morning after pulling an all-nighter and taking the first flight out of University Park Airport. I think I may have slept an hour on the plane. I know I was tired cuz I slept thru takeoff from Philly. I had trouble sleeping well because the guy two seats over from me had his iPod turned up so loud I could hear everything except the actual words of the music he was listening to. Yes, even over the plane's engine.

Word of advice, have some consideration for people around you when you travel.

Anyway, I took the shuttle to our convention hotel and let me tell you, I was a little nervous about South Point Hotel being so far from the Strip, but once I got there, I didn't care. Not at convention to Party. I'm there to learn how to better my business.

Plus, South Point pretty much had everything I'd need -- affordable prices at the restaurants (including a 24-hour joint or two), pool, and even bowling and a movie theater. I would need to leave the hotel at all.

Training days were great. Our speakers included Michael Losier (author of "The Law of Attraction") who spoke about Fulfillment Needs, the basis of his third book and we were fortunate enough to be his first audience for the topic. And we had Tammy Stanley speak both days to give us a swift kick in our asses on ways to boost our businesses and better our relationships with customers.

I'd have to say that one of the great things we were offered was information from our own Advisory Board members. Demos from two of them and Round Tables both days. The two years I was on the AB I didn't get to experience other board members' Round Table topics, so of course I was excited about actually checking them out this year.

I've walked away from this year's Convention with so many more ideas to implement into my business. And of course a little fire under my ass, which is what I always need at this time of year.

So just what NEW PRODUCTS did we add?

Here are a few:

These Toyfriends! Yay! Silicone, waterproof, batteries included, and super-fun!  Which Toyfriend are YOU? (review of "Bubbly" - the first guy on the left - coming soon.) I've already posted a review of "Mystic" - the little blue guy on the end)

"MiMi" from Je Joue. Rechargeable, waterproof, silicone, and AWESOME! And as a Hostess Exclusive, she could be yours for only $45! (review coming soon)

We've added these elegant pieces from LELO's "Insignia"line. This is "Soraya". The "Insignia" line is waterproof and rechargeable.

We've even added some gorgeous glass pieces from Pipedream!

Oh man, so much more but too much for my poor phone to handle.

A Sex Toy Blooper

Wanna read about a customer's "Succulent Blossom" blooper?  Check out my Tumblr blog post here.

ANE 2011

So it's official... I'll be attending the AVN Adult Novelty Expo in Pasadena!  Flight is booked and I have floor space to crash on.  I can't believe I'm going!  But I've decided that I have to be there.

I attended last year's event (that whole car accident right before I had to drive to Miami. yes, drive) and it was an eye-opener because I met some amazing people behind some of the brands that For Your Pleasure carries, made some great connections, saw some awesome products, and learned a ton.

This year's event is going to be different.  They've invited reviewers, bloggers, sex educators and the like to come out and mingle with the manufacturers and such.  I'm so happy.

It's great that people understand how important folks on the frontlines play a big role in getting those products sold.  These are folks who talk.  We learn about the materials and soak in other information so we can go out there and TALK about products the manufacturers are coming out with.  I feel as if the public wants to be more educated about what they're putting on and in their bodies and that's where we come into play.

I think that the better educated my customers are, the more empowered they are.  They'll be able to select a product a little easier... or at least narrow it down.  I'm here to help them.  I like to say that I'm like a personal shopper for toys instead of clothes.

Of course I'd love it if every customer would buy the $150 toy, but if in all honesty, it's not the best product for them from what they tell me they're looking for, I'll help them select something else.  And when they're happy with the first piece, they'll come back for that $150 toy.  I don't want my customers wasting money on something they'll never use and/or get pleasure from.  I'm in the business of pleasure and I want them to be happy.

So anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting some of the awesome sex educators I've heard about and sharing some great information while I soak in what I can.  The seminars are looking pretty sweet!

And, I'm feeling really grateful that there are folks who are excited that I've decided to come out.  It's nice to be wanted, ya know?

FYP Convention

So this weekend is the "For Your Pleasure" annual Convention.  And this year, it's back to Las Vegas we go!

Convention is a great thing because it's when a bunch of consultants from across the country get too see each other again or meet each other in person for the first time and we learn how to better our business.

This will be my 5th Convention and I nearly wasn't going to go because money was tight this summer, so I'm excited to be attending.  It's kind of like summer camp for me because I go all year without seeing most of these folks, with e-mails, texts, and Facebook posts to hold me over throughout the year, so I get very excited to see them.

It looks like we'll have some fun stuff going on and one of my favorite parts of Convention is that attendees have the opportunity to see the newest products that have been added to the collection before the rest of the field.  That's so important to me.  I like seeing stuff in person -- getting it in my hands.  It's almost like a Party: touch, taste, turn on.

I know what a couple of the products are, but I can't tell you yet.  I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I am super-stoked!  Keep an eye here, on my Tumblr blog, and my Facebook Fan Page to see what's coming.

What amazes and disappoints me at the same time are the folks who can't even be bothered to attend a single Convention.  If they went to just one, their business would grow so much because of the information you leave with.  I can understand financial situations, since that's what nearly did me in.  But even then, I signed up for the layaway plan to break up the cost of the registration.  I know that attending will only help me in the end.

Those folks who don't attend are the ones who will also complain about their businesses not doing well.  You have to work it.  I know that if my Parties are lacking, it's because I haven't worked hard enough to get bookings.  I have only myself to blame.  If I couldn't attend this year's convention, I'd probably be pretty bummed.

I feel it's part of my job to learn as much as I can so I can pass the information onto my customers, ya know?  That's why I read industry magazines and biz magazines, and why I'll try to attend other industry events as well.

Stay tuned for more FYP updates....

Vibrating Cock Rings

Vibrating cock rings are such awesome couples' toys where both partners benefit: the c-ring keeps him harder longer by constricting the blood in the penis (he may even LOOK bigger!) and the vibration helps her reach the big "O" faster.

Did you know that only less than 25% of women can orgasm thru penetration alone?  So that's a huge percentage of us ladies who still need that clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm.  So you're not alone.

I've had someone tell me that she felt I was talking right to her when I mentioned that stat because she felt there might be something wrong with her.

The things is... as awesome as vibrating cock rings can be, believe it or not, not all penises like that vibration.

Just like all pleasure products, it's personal preference when it comes to the kind of sensations a person likes and for some men, vibration isn't their thing.

I've had a hostess tell me that the c-ring she and her boyfriend picked out (he was there) was cool but she had a bone to pick with it.  What happened was, even though he thought it would be great when he saw it at the Party, his penis apparently thought otherwise.  She told me that when they put it on him and turned on the vibration, "the turtle went right back into its shell!".  Yep.  His penis was not having that vibration.  She said it was instantaneous.

So there you have it.

If you find that you are a cock ring couple, the photo is of the Rocks Off "4US"(#13020).  It's silicone and the included RO-80mm bullet is waterproof.  If you're interested, you can order it at my online store here and while you're at it, check out the rest of the store. :-)

Excitement

I'm getting more and more excited about the month.  I have some great things on the way and I'm getting really excited about new products that "For Your Pleasure" has picked up and I'll be able to show my awesome customers at upcoming Parties!  And I'm stoked to see what else FYP has added!

Changes are coming...

Bring it on...

Ummm.. Where'd the Month Go?

Is it me, or did time fly much faster this month than in recent ones?  It feels like just flew by without me even noticing.  What the heck?

A Last-Minute Booking

On Sunday, I did what was the most last-minute Party to date in my nearly 6 years of slinging dildos.  I got a call from a friend and we booked it for noon this on Sunday.   I booked this thing 19 hours before the Party!  Yep, 19 hours in advance and during Memorial Day Weekend.  Why not?

I didn't have any major plans for Sunday.  Monday was the day I was planning to spend eating with friends after all.  And as long as I'd be able to go out to Indigo Sunday night, I'd be fine.

I'm glad I decided to do it and that my hostess could pull it off.  She asked for a noon start time since they all worked at the same bar and that would be the best time to get people together.  I was worried about people getting up in time since bar folks are usually up until all hours of the night.  :-p

In the end, it all worked out.   8 people showed, which is great considering when the Party was booked.  Her Party sales?  Over $500!  Definitely good for her!  She was able to get the one toy she really wanted at a great discount with her Hostess Credits.  She'd had her eye on a LELO product and I know she was happy she could get it. :-)  Who wouldn't want to get a LELO product for FREE or at a huge discount, ya know?

So the Party was at noon, I was done by 3:30, on the back of a motorcycle and on my way to Whipple Dam by 4:30.  And yes, I still made it to Indigo at the end of the night.  Sunday was a good day.  :-)

"Wait... Aren't You...?"

Still searching around for another dresser for my apartment.  Furniture-shopping can be a tedious thing sometimes.  I moved into my current apartment back in October.  I know... pretty bad I'm not settled in yet.  Sometimes I feel like I don't want to fully unpack (I finally just put something up on a wall -- my clock) because I'm only going to move again soon.  Is that a bad way to think?

Anyway.... I found some sort of open house thing on Craigslist that said they were getting rid of a bunch of stuff for free, so it wouldn't hurt to check it out.  When I stopped over, the girl's boyfriend(?) asked me if I was "Pleasure Pamela".  Saying he'd noticed the magnet on my car and wanted to ask and had heard a lot about me.  And the girl I had met at the house earlier said she knew she had recognized but wasn't completely sure if it was me.  I guess she was at a Party I had done. (I'm sure she would've definitely known it was me if I was holding a "Rabbit". ;-)

Kinda cool when people do recognize or know of "Pleasure Pamela" before they've actually met me.  I guess that means I've done a great job, right?  Oh man, I hope so.  It's really kind of cool.  :-)

It shows that hard work and trying to always do a great job pays off.  I have some really loyal and awesome customers that I'm very thankful to have.  It's a nice boost of confidence whenever I hear someone tell me that they've heard all about me and that they just have to do a Party with me.  Yay!

Venturing into Online Dating

A few months back I decided to give the online dating world a shot.  Why not, right?

A few of my friends have tried it and are those success stories.  Others had fun with it.  So I guess it couldn't hurt to try.  Besides, I felt I needed to expand and get out of my circle of friends and acquaintances and hopefully be fairly anonymous to a potential date.  As I've said in earlier posts, I wanted to meet someone who wanted to go out with me, not the "sex toy lady", because there can be some misconceptions that go along with what I do for a living.

The online dating world seemed to be the best way for me to go.

Yes, the sex toy lady went online.

In a college town, it can be a little tough to meet someone around my age.  And as many of the single ladies my age will agree, when it comes to men our age, there are so many here with a major case of "Peter Pan Syndrome".  I want someone who has their shit together, who can still have fun, but doesn't feel the need to get hammered every time he goes out.  If you're not in college anymore, it's really sad if you're binge drinking every weekend.  Sorry, it is.  It's not my job to play your designated driver all the damn time. (am I bitter much? maybe.)

And as I've said in a prior post, I want to meet someone who's not intimidated by what I do.  Insecure men need not apply because I've dealt with that before and it's not fun trying to boost someone else's self-esteem when it's only them who can do it.  Nor is it fun dealing with someone who puts you down so they can feel better about themselves.  That's not how any kind of relationship should be.  If you've ever been thru that, you know what I mean.

So this online dating experience has been an experiment.

I had to decide which service I wanted to go with... eHarmony?  OKCupid? Match.com?  Plenty Of Fish?  That one that's been advertised on television using people who weren't accepted by the tradition Match and/or eHarmony?

Narrowing it down, I had to decide if I wanted to go with a paid service.  Did I really want to pay to meet people?  What was the reputation of the sites?  Do I know success stories?  I'd heard plentyoffish.com was where everyone went if they just wanted to hook up.  I really wasn't looking for that.  I actually did want to date.

Once I chose the site I'd go with, it was time to set up my profile.  Was I really in the mood to answer a bunch of questions about myself?  It just took so long.  I didn't post a picture right away because I know some guys are stalking those sites for newest additions and I suspected if I posted a picture of me, an Asian woman, the guys with "yellow fever" would be all over that and I'd get annoyed.  Though, I'd already been warned to expect a ton of e-mails in the beginning since I was fresh meat.  I couldn't believe that I was going to do it.  But still, that didn't mean I necessarily had to actually go out with any of the guys who contacted me. At least I had that safety net.

I trudged thru the questions.  Answering them the best I could until I answered what I thought would be enough to get me a match of some kind.  I liked that the site lets you know how much of a match someone is if/when you look at their profile.  Pretty cool.  I didn't want to waste anyone's time by going out with someone who wasn't remotely a match.  I'd have to be able to get along with him on some level.

Oh, the e-mails started coming in.  Oy... what do I do?  I didn't know if I should be polite and respond back to the guys who took the time to e-mail me, even though I wasn't interested.  I could also see who was checking out my profile.

Here's what got me... each profile has a "what I'm looking for" type section where you enter the type of people you're looking for like age range, distance from you, etc.  I had dudes that were way out of the age range I was looking for checking out my profile and e-mailing me.  Really?  No offense to the older men reading this, I'm not interested in a man in his 50's nor does my profile say that I am.

One cool thing about seeing who my matches are is that there are some familiar faces in there.  Actually, I was surprised to see these guys on the site.  It made sense that we were matched in the first place because we are friends after all, so we have things in common.  Unfortunately, some of the other familiar faces belong to guys I would never want to go out with because I just don't like them.  Maybe somewhere there are matches within our personality questions, but in person, those few guys are dicks.  I just hope they never see that I'm matched with them.  Ugh.  So there's the good and the bad with that.

And what do you do if you happen to come across a match while you're out and about, especially if you never contacted them and you know they've scoped out your profile?  Awkward...

Then we have those e-mails that said stuff like "hey" or "ur sexy".  Written exactly like that.  I'm not a friend you're texting.  I'm a woman you're writing to in hopes you'll get a response.  Take the time to actually write out a proper sentence.  Sorry.  Those guys couldn't take the time to write to me properly, so I couldn't take the time to respond.

I decided to be nice and respond to a few e-mails to be friendly.  Oh, big mistake.  Some of those guys just kept e-mailing me.  A couple keep coming back to my profile on a regular basis.  Nothing's really changed, buddy.  I'm not interested.  That's why you haven't heard from me.  I've even had one guy get super creepy. He knew who I was but never mentioned how I might know him and kept sending me e-mails about my pictures.  Creeper.... :-/

And then along come those guys who e-mail me even though our match rating is less than 20%.  Ummm... is your idea of a good date fighting the whole time?  Not mine.

I've had one guy ask me to meet up with him after just three very short e-mails.  Seriously, our e-mails were very short -- two sentences at most -- and he wanted to meet up when he lives over an hour away?  Excuse me?  I wasn't comfortable to meet in person at that point.

This online dating this was not going well. But then again, I wasn't really letting it happen.

I did end up going on at least two dates.  The one went fairly well, but I wasn't feeling it even though our e-mails were great.  The other, I thought he was a nice guy, but he was more than 10 years younger than me and I probably would've strangled him at one point.  Ugh.  Yeah, I'm a tad cynical.

A few tips for this online dating thing, especially if you want a response from a woman:
  • I know it's a "put your best face forward" sort of thing when you're posting pictures to your profile, but make sure that picture looks like YOU.  Present day you.  Not 5 years ago you.  Some of the guys I met in person did NOT look like the photos they posted.  Come on.  I couldn't recognize the one when we were meeting up for our date.  My photo is from January of this year.  I'm smiling. I look like most of my candid pictures.  And POST A PHOTO.  Profiles without photos don't get a second thought from me.
  • When it comes to your profile picture, SMILE.  You want to look approachable, don't you?  I've seen too many where the guy just looks like a child molester or potential stalker.  Goofy photos are fine in my book cuz it looks like you know how to have a good time.  That scowling glare you're giving the camera (you might think it's sexy, but it doesn't look sexy to me) or the really bad webcam photo isn't doing you justice.  It's online dating... photos are a big part of your profile.  I admit that I look at a profile's photo first and then read the info.  I have to be attracted in some way to someone if I'm going to date them.  That's just how it is.  But, I've spotted some really good-looking men on the site, checked out their profiles and passed on them because we were in no way a match.
  • Another photo thing... Do NOT have a picture of you and some woman getting really cozy.  You're on the site to meet a woman, right?  That woman is most likely looking for a man who's single and available.  A photo of you and some chick kissing you, in bed with you, snuggling up to you, or whatever is NOT attractive.  It makes you look like you're a player.  If that's what you're trying to go for, make sure you're contacting a woman who's looking for the same.
  • Contact a woman who has similar interests as you and has similar "looking for" stats.  My profile says I don't want kids.  I just don't.  And I have dudes with kids e-mailing me?  I don't want kids of my own, and right now, I don't want anyone else's either.  That's too much to take on for me right now.  Sorry.
  • Take into consideration the username you select.  Names like "Doctor69" or "CougarChaser" are... I'll just leave it at that.  And I've come across too many "HotWhatHisNames" that weren't hot in my book.  Hopefully they're hot to someone else.
  • When you're entering info into your profile, I've found that if you write something like "I'm not looking for... ", if your site sends you potential matches, it's going to send you what you said you didn't want.  Weird, huh?  Kind of like how the Law Of Attraction works: if you focus on what you don't want, it's going to give you more of that because it doesn't recognize the "don't", it just hears the object that you didn't want.  Apparently, dating websites work that way, too.
  • When you're e-mailing a woman, take the time to actually write out proper sentences.  You don't need to have your Master's or anything, I just hate those damn text-like messages.  I've said it already and I'll say it again, test-like messages don't get my time because they couldn't take the time to actually write.  And please write more than just "Hey" or "What's up".  Really?  Are we back in junior high?
  • If a woman hasn't contacted you in weeks/months, you can probably take that as she's not interested.  Repeatedly going back to check out her profile only makes you look like a creeper if she can see that you've been looking.  I know it sounds mean, but whenever I see that on my profile from a couple of the same dudes, my eyes roll.
The tips above can also be totally applied to women.  Ladies, we are not exempt.

I know dating can be a daunting thing, especially if you haven't been in the world for a while and I give props to the men who reach out and make contact first.  It takes balls.  We're still wired to think that it's the guy's job to make first contact.  We're just so used to it.  So when men take the initiative, they take that risk that they could be rejected.  That's probably why I haven't outright told a guy on the site that he didn't have a chance in the world.  But then again, I tried to be nice by responding and all it got me was hangers-on.

I initially wanted to blog about the entire experience, but since I didn't give it a go like I hoped I would, I can't.

I've come to realize that I don't really feel like dating.  If I happen upon a man who sparks my interest, then maybe... Sounds a lot like how I ended my other post about being set up by my friend, huh?

Toyfriend's "Mystic"

I've done a little write up of "Mystic" from Toyfriend if you'd like to check it out on Tumblr here.

Setting Me Up...

I love my friends.

I love that I can count on them.  Well, most of them.

And I love that they like me so much that they want to set me up with one of their friends because they want me to be in a happy and healthy relationship.  (Or according to a couple, at least fucking the people that they can't so they can live vicariously thru me).  I appreciate their thoughtfulness and I'm grateful for them and their attempts.

But, I would hope that some know me well enough to know what type of guy to try to set me up with.  Sometimes I have to wonder when I hear the description of their "awesome buddy".  "Do you really think he'll make it thru the night without me strangling him?" is a thought that goes thru my head sometimes.  It's either that or "Uhhh... do you even know me??"

I know this is the longest that I've been single, but I really don't miss the relationship thing.  And I have some great friends in my life who had been single for even longer than this and they're still alive, normal, and happily in awesome relationships.  If I meet the right guy, I could reconsider the whole relationship thing.  You never know.

I really do appreciate my friends for even thinking of me and for wanting to set me up with their friends.  That means something to me.  It's like they think that we're matches for each other and we really would have a great time.  Cuz who wants to be the friend who set their other friend up with a shitty date, right?

I want and like this time to myself.  That's how I feel.  And like I've said before, I just can't be bothered to try to date these days.  I can't even be bothered to have sex!  Whoa.  Did I really just say that?  Yeah, I did.  I've got my toys, after all.  And if I meet someone really awesome, I could set the toys aside... for a little while anyway.

"Rocki Whore Picture Show", a Hardcore Parody

This past Friday morning, I leapt out of bed when I heard what I thought was the UPS truck... At 9:30 in the morning!

And what in the world could have gotten me up so early in the day? Yes, porn gets me out of bed. :-p

Why, the delivery of copy of my own copy of "The Rocki Whore Picture Show" of course!

I've known about "Rocki Whore" since attending the AEE back in January. When I spotted the banner for it, all I could think was, "It took them long enough!" I kind of wonder why it took so long. I couldn't wait to get home to tell everyone about it. I have many "Rocky Horror"-loving friends.

I'm actually sitting here watching the DVD's special features disc as I write this up! I'm such a nerd, I got so excited to see a second disc devoted to the Special Features!

I was initially going to get a group of my friends together to do a group viewing but I'm really not sure how many of my friends would want to watch porn amongst friend -- there may be a handful. And then trying to get a group organized, that's a whole other mess. So, I decided to watch it on my own this round. I just couldn't wait!

I have to admit, I was a little worried because some of the porn parodies I've seen were pretty bad. Oh Wicked Pictures, this is awesome!

So me, being the nerdy movie person that I am, I had to check out the box art -- front and back with some naughty pics AND flipping it open to find the really naughty, not for those under 18, pics. When did porn get all fancy shmancy? I like it. And 2 DISCS!

Popped in the first disc and the menu comes up after some other info on pirating, etc. And I really enjoy the menu! The minute "Frank" comes up on the screen and starts talking, I laugh because it sounds A LOT like "Frank" from "Rocky Horror".

Here's the thing, I know that porn parodies aren't going to be exactly like the movies they are parodying and I had to wonder how close director Brad Armstrong was going to get. While watching the first few minutes of the movie, I knew he wouldn't let me down.

I could tell that the actors had done their research on the roles they were playing. Randy Spears as "Stiff Staff" was awesome. "Frank 'N Beans" I loved of course. Mac Turner, the man behind Frank, is the porn version of Tim Curry's Frank. I wanna know how many times he watched the original to get Frank's style down. Elektra Blue is a great "Euphoria".  Jessica Drake makes an adorable Janet (she plays sweet really well).  Seriously, everyone was fantastic. Even Ron Jeremy is in the cast! Should I admit I've never seen him in a movie yet?

So how does one really review sex scenes in porn? I'm totally just winging it right now. I can tell you that the scene length felt right to me and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves. My thing is, I want to watch porn where everyone looks like they're having fun and getting off. Nothing turns me off more than watching a movie where it looks like the actress does NOT want to be there or she's being forced to do something, ya know? It just kills the mood. That's not what a porn is suppose to do after all, right?

There's definitely the spectrum of scenes -- girl/girl, guy/girl, DP, anal, 2 girls/1 guy, toys, orgy... yep, I'd say that's a good variety. If only there was a guy/guy scene as the original film does in silhouette, but I get it. It's a "straight" movie, so I'll just imagine it. *sigh*

If I wasn't watching this for "homework", I would've been turned on even more. I'll be watching it again soon for my sheer enjoyment. Don't you worry.

Wicked's contract ladies do a wonderful job. This was my first time seeing ANY of them in a movie. I know, I'm really behind on the porn viewing. It's funny because I met Jessica Drake at AEE before seeing her naked. Isn't it usually the other way around? The Wicked men did a fantastic job as well. And I'm going to say it again, Mac Turner does an excellent job as "Frank". Total props to him!
Anyway...

Yes, there is singing. And the music is really close to the orginal -- for a porn parody. I know I'd have trouble trying to come up with lyrics to go with music that sounds similar to the "Rocky Horror" tunes.

I really had a great time watching this movie! It went beyond my expectations. I can't tell you how many times I had a shitty grin on my face because this movie made me happy.

And then onto Disc #2! Oh man... great menu again. The best way for me to describe it is it's like the DVD menu for "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle". The characters talk to the audience and amongst themselves, being more interactive. I had to make myself sit thru them entirely without making a selection. Do you know how hard that can be? I wanted to get thru all of the features, but I didn't want to miss out on this menu. I'm such a nerd.

Let's talk about the selection of Special Features! There are more than a handful! Maybe to handfuls? Definitely enough for that second disc. I am so that nerd who watches nearly all of the bonus features on a DVD or Blu-Ray. I enjoy all of that behind-the-scenes stuff. "Rocki Whore" gives me plenty -- bloopers, auditions, makeup, interviews, etc. Love it! Plus, I've always wanted to see bloopers for a porn flick. :-p

What can I say? I loved it! And if you're a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" fan, this is a must-have for your collection.

Go out and get your own copy! If you're a local, you can pick up your copy at Playtime Boutique. I think I asked them enough times that they ordered copies in before they usually would. I didn't want anyone in town to miss out on it. If they don't see it, how can they buy it, right? Yay! If you'd like to get it online, you can order it thru Adult DVD Empire.

**On a side note, Wicked Picktures is touted as being the only major adult studio producing condoms-only films and I totally support that. I admit, I as a little surprised when I spotted a condom, but it was a pleasant surprise. Yay, Wicked!**
