The Fun Factory "DeLight" will DELIGHT You!

imageFrom Fun Factory USA, I present to you their 2008 “reddot design” Award-winning “DeLight”.  I remember having seen it in their advertising and at their booth at ANE11, but I didn’t actually get my hands on it.  I do, however, remember that it did catch my eye and I was intrigued.   I mean, look at that curve... Raaawr...

**I have to apologize for the delay in getting this whole thing written up cuz I kept getting distracted by the toy itself!  I’d be writing, then get the toy in my hands to remember some points… then turn it back on… then, well… ya know… ;-) **

Fun Factory is a brand that I’ve known for years now because they’re made of 100% medical-grade silicone (phthalate-free) and other materials that are safe for the body (something that’s important to me and my customers) and the German engineering behind their toys haven’t let me down.  Besides, how can you not recognize their quirky and fun designs with names like “Patchy Paul”, right?

So onto the DeLight… What caught my eye was that curve… oooh, that curve.   I’m always on the hunt for great G-spot toys.  A girl can’t have too many in my book.  And, it’s a beautiful toy!

imageThe DeLight is also splash-proof (can get wet to clean or for shower play, but do not immerse) and is what Fun Factory calls a “CLICK ‘N’ CHARGE” toy, which means it’s rechargeable with their universal “FUN Magnetic Plug” that simply clicks onto the toy.  See those two metal dots in the middle of the toy in the photo on the right?  That’s where the plug clicks on.  The photo below on the right shows the FUN Magnetic Plug on the DeLight.  It’s cool because all of their CLICK ‘N CHARGE toys use the same magnetic plug, so you only need to have one on hand.  That keeps your toy drawer, box, or room a little neater.  How many of you have a ton of rechargeable toys and have trouble keeping the chargers sorted?  I know I do, and that’s why I have a labeled zippy bag for each charger to help me out.  And I still can’t seem to find one charger! :-/

Anyway, what comes in the box with the DeLight?
  • The DeLight.  Duhh… (which comes in 6 color combinations; mine is the Blackberry/Black)
  • Multi-language user manual (six languages to be precise); mine came with two for some odd reason. :-p
  • A pamphlet containing photos of all of the products in their line (the product line has grow so much since we carried them)
  • A sample of their Fun Factory “TOYFLUID” water-based lube
I was pleasantly surprised to see that my DeLight had a charge when it arrived, but I took the time to fully charge it for my… ahem… research.  On a full charge, the manual says the user will get about an hour of use if used at its maximum setting.

imageThe DeLight is ergonomically-shaped and so simple to operate.  Simply slide one or two fingers into the curl and operate the 2-button control with your thumb.  (I usually have my index finger in the curl and my middle finger resting on the outside of the curl to help me have better control over ut.)  Simple operation has become a necessity to me.  Really, those buttons are placed in such a great spot on this toy.

To operate: Press the “+” button in for about 2 seconds to turn it on at its lowest rumble, which is nice and low for a good warm up.  The control panel will emit a red glow (see left photo below) when it’s on.   You can either press and hold in the “+” until it goes up to its strongest steady vibration or press it repeatedly so you can see what the intensities are like.

Pressing the “+” will also allow you to get to the more intense vibrations and to the other three different vibrational patterns.  To turn off, hold the “-” button until the toy gets to its lowest vibration, release, and press the “-” again.
image

When it comes to noise level, even at its most intense vibration, the DeLight is a pretty quiet toy — just above a hum to me.  I’d definitely recommend it for someone who has roommates or for my moms out there — anyone who may be concerned about the buzzing sound traveling thru their doors/walls.

The insertable part of the DeLight is 100% medical-grade silicone, so it’s nonporous and easy to keep clean, while the handle is a combination of the silicone and a shiny skin-friendly plastic.

The insertable end has a little flexibility to it, giving the user the ability to work the toy on her G-spot a bit more, using whatever motions she prefers such as rocking or wiggling it back and forth or the “windshield wiper”.  Now, most of my G-Spot toys have no give whatsover, so this was a nice change of pace for me because it made me actually “work” for my orgasm a little more, which can be nice.

With just a little bit of water-based lubricant because it’s a silicone toy (I like Sliquid Oceanics), that tip slides right in and definitely wants to hone in on my G-spot.  And with a little manipulation, my leg twitched as I hit the spot… ;-)

Another DeLight feature is the little bump on the inside of the curve that Fun Factory calls the “clitoral bump”.  I think it’s a great idea, but for me… or shall I say, for my body, it didn’t really work because it didn’t hit my clitoris.  I had more of the area above the bump resting along my clitoris and that worked fine for me when I added more pressure.  So it’s a good thing that the insertable end has some give so the user can manipulate the piece to suit her body more.

DeLight Pros:
  • Rechargeable (better for the environment and no having to steal remote control batteries)
  • Multi-speed, multi-vibrational
  • 100% medical-grade silicone and skin-friendly plastic (body-safe)
  • Quiet
  • Ergonomic
  • Splash-proof (easy to clean)
  • Powerful
  • Easy-to-operate
  • It doesn’t look like a vibrator, so you don’t necessarily have to hide it.
DeLight Cons:
  • “Clitoral Bump” may not work for every body
  • I wish the charge lasted longer
  • I wish it was “waterproof”, rather than splash-proof, so I can use it in the bath along with the shower.
  • It would be nice if the keys had a “lock” feature, but that's a minor detail.

In my book, the DeLight is definitely a must-have for your toybox.  I know it'll definitely be in high rotation for me. ;-)

Now, since we unfortunately don’t carry Fun Factory these days (I wish we did), I’ll send you to where you can get your own DeLight because you should’ve miss out on it.  Eden Fantasys, AVN “O” Award Winner for “Outstanding Online Retailer”, carries the DeLight and they’ll take care of you.  Click here to go straight to the EdenFantasys DeLight page. :-)

I’d totally love to hear what you think of your DeLight when you get your own.

The "eleven" and Me (Update)

**This is a pretty graphic post. If this is a side of me you don't want to know, then don't read it.**

Okay, so you've probably just read about my encounter with the njoy "eleven" from the other night. It definitely took me a little bit to write it up.

But I'd like to post this update while it's still fresh in my mind and because I wasn't going to let this piece defeat me. I'm just like that. I like a challenge.

The past couple of days, as I wrote up the last post, I kept thinking about how I was going to really enjoy this piece... without the use of a "fluffer". How was this going to work? How was I going to do this without breaking myself in half?
Then it hit me: I needed another angle... another approach to the "eleven"....
There's only a difference of 1/4" between the two ends, but it's pretty amazing how much of a difference that 1/4" can be! Sheesh!

I thought about this last night as I fell asleep.... make the approach from the top!
So this morning... yes, this morning... I decided I was going to try again. Maybe it's a little obsessive, but it's all in the name of "research", right? ;-)

With my Je Joue "MiMi", my "eleven", my lube, and my Sliquid "O" Gel to help me get revved up a little faster, I was on my mission!
After some warmup with my MiMi and the smaller end of the "eleven", I sat up....

Placing the "eleven" on my bed so it was sitting up at an angle, I made my approach... okay, breathe... relax... I knew if I started to doubt myself, my muscles were going to tense... I can do this...
At first, my body was like "WTF do you think you're doing?!"... breathe... slow... slowly.... just ease myself onto it... I can do this...

*sigh* Breathe.... slowly lowering myself onto it... I can't even describe the feeling as it enters me... But I can tell you a moan escaped my lips when I felt that full girth... a very good moan...
Whew! Wow... I "rode" the "eleven" for a bit... just enjoying that angle... that fullness... and the G-spot stimulation.... wow...
I slowly lowered myself onto my back and just relaxed and worked it... wow....

With the "eleven" inside of me and MiMi on my clitoris... oh yeah...
"Hello, 'eleven'... nice to meet you. You were definitely worth the wait and effort. Like a good man."

As I sit here writing this post, I can still feel the "eleven" inside of me... my muscles remembering the sensation...

Sperm-friendly

I wanted to write this from my laptop but it decided that its theme for the night would be "not responding". I seriously wanted to throw it out the window.

I was finally able to get my uploaded Vistaprint images onto various products for work (after having Troy from 3twenty9 Design send me several versions of my illustration to me) and then it froze. Well, Firefox and then Internet Explorer froze. Grrr... I had Party invitations that I had to send out. Even Tweetdeck froze.

I'm going to keep MacBook-dreamin'. And then perhaps punch my laptop in the face when I do get a MacBook.

Anyway... I wanted to write about a question a recent Party guest had for me the other week.

She asked if the lubes I show (Sliquid Swirl, Sliquid Silver, and the For Your Pleasure Waterslide) were sperm-friendly. Huh? I'd never been asked that question before. I knew they were spermicidal lubes since we don't carry lubes like that because they can be irritating to a lot of women, so they didn't necessarily kill sperm. What in the world was she talking about?

She began to fill me in on her situation: she and her husband have been trying to conceive and were told that for couples who have had more of a difficult time getting pregnant, everyday lubes can be bad for sperm. They were told to use a specific brand that's sperm-friendly. But they don't like it because it has a bad smell. I can understand why she would be looking into other lubes. If something smells bad to you, how is that suppose to help you stay in the mood for sex, right?

I went home and scoped out the lube she's been using, "Pre-Seed" and did a little research but I found a lot of jargon that I didn't get, so I knew I would have to ask a medical professional about this.

Have YOU heard of sperm-friendly lubes? The lubes I show are glycerine-free and some are also paraben-free so they are more healthy for the female body, but sperm-friendly is certainly a first for me.

AVN ANE/AEE Expo

Tuesday morning I returned on the red eye from my first trip to the AVN ANE/AEE Show. If you don't know what that is, it's the Adult Video News' Adult Novelty Expo and Adult Entertainment Expo. Yeah, that's a lot to say. Many folks refer to it as the "Porn Convention".

It was a long ride home, but I'm home and I can say that I ran straight to my bed and collapsed for a few hours. Hotel beds can be so nice, but there's nothing like my own bed.

On my flight out, I had a connection in Philly and apparently more than half of the people on the plane were on their way to CES. I felt like I was the only one going to the AVN, sitting between two guys who had their laptops out and were connected to the plane's Wi-Fi.

I'd attended the Novelty Expo in Florida back in August and knew that THIS was the event to attend so I could see the people I had met in Florida again and to see what else is new in the novelty world.

So lemme tell you that this place was a mad house! I was fortunate enough to have an exhibitor's badge so I was able to get in during the trade days and hit up the AEE side before the fans had access. I'd jump back and forth between the trade side and the AEE side. When it got too crazy on the AEE side, I'd be back at the trade side where there was more of a sense of calm.

Some things I saw:
-- met Je Joue's newest additions to their product line -- Mimi and Ami. I now have my own and I'm excited to try them so I can post my reviews. I can say that Mimi is definitely small and mighty. The more I held her, the more I liked her.

-- visited the guys at the Toyfriend booth. They were brave enough to have their booth on the AEE side. I have a feeling that they found lots of new fans because Toyfriends were flying off their shelves! Yay! If you haven't seen them yet, check out their site and you'll see how fun the line is! My favorite Toyfriend is "Coney", by the way.

-- of course checked out the OhMiBod booth since they were right across from Je Joue. Their newest addition, the Freestyle G was there for me to check out, along with the app they just released, "Body Heat". It lets someone control an OhMiBod using their iPhone, iPod or iPad. Check it out. I have it and it's pretty sweet! Jay Leno even mentioned the app on his show Friday night because he heard that they were at CES! Yep, OhMiBod decided to play with the "big boys" and set up another booth at CES this year! I hear they were the talk of the show, too. I'm guessing CES doesn't get a lot of vibrators there. ;-)
-- went around the corner to njoy's booth and got to see some prototypes that Greg had up his sleeve. I'm pretty excited about them!

-- checked out the newest flavors that Sliquid came out with for their "Swirl" line. Strawberry Pomegranate is my new favorite! Pink Lemonade is pretty good, too....

-- got to touch LELO's newest line -- "Insignia". They're waterproof and really beautiful. That's a line I hope we pick up.
-- met NINA HARTLEY!!! Yay! She was so awesome! I think I was most excited about meeting her. She's been such an inspiration to me. I have her book and I refer to it quite a bit. When we first met, she asked me if I ever got annoyed with people trying to pick me all of the time because of my small stature. We then talked about my work and she asked if they take me seriously because I look younger than I am. I explained that because I'm in a college town, the girls relate to me a bit easier, but yes, sometimes people don't treat me seriously because I'm "cute". But she had words of encouragement for me as well. Telling me to keep doing what I do.
I didn't know anything about her health issues until after I got back from the trip.
If you would like to help Nina out, please follow this link. I've made my donation. :-)

I even checked out the Liberator booth quite a few times during the show. I couldn't help but fondle the Amore Rocker... it just felt soooo nice. And then I set in their Cello... OMG. I waaaaaaaant!

Hanging out at the Liberator booth was Angel Vain, who was on hand for fan photos and autographs. She was fun to chat with and to take pics with towards the end of a long last day.

This trip showed me some new products to keep an eye out for. I learned so much because I actually went to most of the seminars that were available. :-p

Seeing the folks I met at the last expo in Florida was kind of like when you went back to summer camp and ran into old friends. It was so great to sit and chat away from the madness of the show.

Who knows what opportunities lay ahead in the future for me. But I can't wait to sling some of this stuff too! Hope FYP will pick up the favorites that I've seen at this show! :-)
