The Fun Factory "DeLight" will DELIGHT You!

imageFrom Fun Factory USA, I present to you their 2008 “reddot design” Award-winning “DeLight”.  I remember having seen it in their advertising and at their booth at ANE11, but I didn’t actually get my hands on it.  I do, however, remember that it did catch my eye and I was intrigued.   I mean, look at that curve... Raaawr...

**I have to apologize for the delay in getting this whole thing written up cuz I kept getting distracted by the toy itself!  I’d be writing, then get the toy in my hands to remember some points… then turn it back on… then, well… ya know… ;-) **

Fun Factory is a brand that I’ve known for years now because they’re made of 100% medical-grade silicone (phthalate-free) and other materials that are safe for the body (something that’s important to me and my customers) and the German engineering behind their toys haven’t let me down.  Besides, how can you not recognize their quirky and fun designs with names like “Patchy Paul”, right?

So onto the DeLight… What caught my eye was that curve… oooh, that curve.   I’m always on the hunt for great G-spot toys.  A girl can’t have too many in my book.  And, it’s a beautiful toy!

imageThe DeLight is also splash-proof (can get wet to clean or for shower play, but do not immerse) and is what Fun Factory calls a “CLICK ‘N’ CHARGE” toy, which means it’s rechargeable with their universal “FUN Magnetic Plug” that simply clicks onto the toy.  See those two metal dots in the middle of the toy in the photo on the right?  That’s where the plug clicks on.  The photo below on the right shows the FUN Magnetic Plug on the DeLight.  It’s cool because all of their CLICK ‘N CHARGE toys use the same magnetic plug, so you only need to have one on hand.  That keeps your toy drawer, box, or room a little neater.  How many of you have a ton of rechargeable toys and have trouble keeping the chargers sorted?  I know I do, and that’s why I have a labeled zippy bag for each charger to help me out.  And I still can’t seem to find one charger! :-/

Anyway, what comes in the box with the DeLight?
  • The DeLight.  Duhh… (which comes in 6 color combinations; mine is the Blackberry/Black)
  • Multi-language user manual (six languages to be precise); mine came with two for some odd reason. :-p
  • A pamphlet containing photos of all of the products in their line (the product line has grow so much since we carried them)
  • A sample of their Fun Factory “TOYFLUID” water-based lube
I was pleasantly surprised to see that my DeLight had a charge when it arrived, but I took the time to fully charge it for my… ahem… research.  On a full charge, the manual says the user will get about an hour of use if used at its maximum setting.

imageThe DeLight is ergonomically-shaped and so simple to operate.  Simply slide one or two fingers into the curl and operate the 2-button control with your thumb.  (I usually have my index finger in the curl and my middle finger resting on the outside of the curl to help me have better control over ut.)  Simple operation has become a necessity to me.  Really, those buttons are placed in such a great spot on this toy.

To operate: Press the “+” button in for about 2 seconds to turn it on at its lowest rumble, which is nice and low for a good warm up.  The control panel will emit a red glow (see left photo below) when it’s on.   You can either press and hold in the “+” until it goes up to its strongest steady vibration or press it repeatedly so you can see what the intensities are like.

Pressing the “+” will also allow you to get to the more intense vibrations and to the other three different vibrational patterns.  To turn off, hold the “-” button until the toy gets to its lowest vibration, release, and press the “-” again.

When it comes to noise level, even at its most intense vibration, the DeLight is a pretty quiet toy — just above a hum to me.  I’d definitely recommend it for someone who has roommates or for my moms out there — anyone who may be concerned about the buzzing sound traveling thru their doors/walls.

The insertable part of the DeLight is 100% medical-grade silicone, so it’s nonporous and easy to keep clean, while the handle is a combination of the silicone and a shiny skin-friendly plastic.

The insertable end has a little flexibility to it, giving the user the ability to work the toy on her G-spot a bit more, using whatever motions she prefers such as rocking or wiggling it back and forth or the “windshield wiper”.  Now, most of my G-Spot toys have no give whatsover, so this was a nice change of pace for me because it made me actually “work” for my orgasm a little more, which can be nice.

With just a little bit of water-based lubricant because it’s a silicone toy (I like Sliquid Oceanics), that tip slides right in and definitely wants to hone in on my G-spot.  And with a little manipulation, my leg twitched as I hit the spot… ;-)

Another DeLight feature is the little bump on the inside of the curve that Fun Factory calls the “clitoral bump”.  I think it’s a great idea, but for me… or shall I say, for my body, it didn’t really work because it didn’t hit my clitoris.  I had more of the area above the bump resting along my clitoris and that worked fine for me when I added more pressure.  So it’s a good thing that the insertable end has some give so the user can manipulate the piece to suit her body more.

DeLight Pros:
  • Rechargeable (better for the environment and no having to steal remote control batteries)
  • Multi-speed, multi-vibrational
  • 100% medical-grade silicone and skin-friendly plastic (body-safe)
  • Quiet
  • Ergonomic
  • Splash-proof (easy to clean)
  • Powerful
  • Easy-to-operate
  • It doesn’t look like a vibrator, so you don’t necessarily have to hide it.
DeLight Cons:
  • “Clitoral Bump” may not work for every body
  • I wish the charge lasted longer
  • I wish it was “waterproof”, rather than splash-proof, so I can use it in the bath along with the shower.
  • It would be nice if the keys had a “lock” feature, but that's a minor detail.

In my book, the DeLight is definitely a must-have for your toybox.  I know it'll definitely be in high rotation for me. ;-)

Now, since we unfortunately don’t carry Fun Factory these days (I wish we did), I’ll send you to where you can get your own DeLight because you should’ve miss out on it.  Eden Fantasys, AVN “O” Award Winner for “Outstanding Online Retailer”, carries the DeLight and they’ll take care of you.  Click here to go straight to the EdenFantasys DeLight page. :-)

I’d totally love to hear what you think of your DeLight when you get your own.
